  • Immunizations

We believe the quote that "an once of prevention is worth a pound of cure".  We carry a full line of vaccines to help protect our patients from infections.  Please ask our staff to help determine what vaccine protocol will be best for your pet.

  • Wellness Exams

Did you know that your pet can age between 5 and 8 years to your 1 year?  Annual physical exams are very important for your pet.  Our doctors will give your pet a complete physical from the tip of their nose to the tip of their tail.  Many diseases can be picked up with a good history from the owner and a good physical from the doctor.  How long has it been since your pet has had their check up?  We recommend doing it at least once a year.

  • Nutritional Counseling

Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active.

  • Microchipping

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.

  • Heartworm Prevention

Our practice recommends SENTINEL® Flavor Tabs.  SENTINEL Flavor Tabs are the only monthly oral preventive that guards against heartworms (Dirofilaria immitis) and fleas as well as adult roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), adult hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum) and whipworms (Trichuris vulpis). • Endoscopy

High-tech fiber optics permit direct visual examination of areas that are impossible to see otherwise. We have a rigid endoscope that allows us to do procedures and exams of the ear, nose, and throat. This allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment.

      • Tele-Medicine

We have fallen in love with Tele-Medicine.  We have a unit that allows us to take digital pictures of x-rays, cytology, ultrasound images, etc. and combine these pictures with a detailed written report on a patient's condition and lab findings.  We can then send this package via e-mail to a veterinary specialist anywhere in the world and have consult report back usually within 24 hours.  WOW!

      Dentistry

      • Dental Care

Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity.   Pets will need to be placed under anesthesia.  We use Sevoflurane, the newest in gas anesthesia, along with pre-anesthesia blood testing, and pulse/oxygenation monitoring during the procedure to help insure the safety of your pet.

      • Dental Supplies

The most important part of proper dental care is home care.  We carry a full line of toothbrushes, toothpaste, chew treats, chew toys, mouth washes, etc.  We can find the right product and method for you to help prevent dental disease at home.

      • Maintenance Grooming

The groomer makes appointments in advance, so there is no need for you to call and book your dog’s appointment each time once a maintenance schedule is set.  A meeting with the groomer in person or by phone is necessary to establish a maintenance plan.  Pick a day of the week, Monday thru Friday, to bring your dog in for grooming and then decide how many weeks you want in between visits.  First grooming is always full price followed by the plan.  No matter what we have to do to your dog (haircut or no haircut) the price will not change, unless it is taking the groomer longer than usual to finish the dog.  Then a de-matt charge may apply.  If your dog misses more than a month of maintenance, the next time he/she comes in, grooming will be full price until maintenance is established again.  You may terminate your maintenance at any time for any reason, but please let the groomer know you are dropping the service.

      Boarding

      • Feline Boarding

We realize that our feline friends require special attention.  They enjoy having a lounge area with lots of quiet time.  We have a separate room for feline boarding where they can relax in peace.  We have large cat condos with a lounge rest.  If desired, the condos can be opened to allow the cat(s) to access up to 4 separate condos.  Call for price information.

      • Premium Boarding

This is our top of the line boarding for our canine friends.  With this boarding, the pet has its own indoor a/c cage or run.  They are taken out to a large outdoor run (28sq. ft) twice a day to eat, potty, and play then brought back inside to rest in the climate controlled area.  We do have limitation on space for large dogs so book your reservation early.

      • Boarding Plus

This boarding is ideal for large, outside type dogs.  The dogs are kept in large, outdoor covered runs with fans in the summer and warm bedding and wind protection in the winter.  These pets are taken outside for a potty/playtime everyday.

      • Clean Up Baths

Dogs tend to be a little messy while boarding.  We recommend a clean up bath for all boading dogs before going home.  We offer clean up baths at half price of a regular bath and brush.  A clean up bath does not include toe nail trimming, anal gland expression, or brushing.  Please ask for the price of a clean up bath for you pet.  Some breeds have hair coats that tend to mat from a bath if not properly brushed and dried.  For these breeds, we recommend a full bath and brush after boarding by our professional groomers.  We offer this service Monday through Friday but not on the weekends.

      • Medications while Boarding

Many pets are in need of medications while boarding.  We can give medications up to twice a day.  There is a fee for each dosing of medication.  Boarding may be stressful for pets with serious health problems.  We do not board pets with serious health issues that are not patients of our clinic.  Please call and discuss your pets medical issues prior to boarding.

      • Special Feeding/Toys/Blankets/etc.

We feed a food that is designed to reduce diarrhea in pets that are boarding and may be stressed.  We highly recommend this food over other maintenance type foods that pets are fed at home.  If pets are on prescription diets for health reasons, we will feed that food at your request.  We do not recommend that you bring your own toys, blankets, food bowls, etc.  We provide everything that is needed and will not be responsible for items you leave with your pet.
